Visa Electron
The Visa Electron card is a means of payment that can only be used for electronic transactions. Like the credit card, it has a magnetic strip, but no embossed card number. Visa Electron is a pure online card that can only be used at electronic terminals. Each transaction is authorized by the bank that issued the card. Visa Electron can also be used for e-commerce on the Internet.
The clientele
Visa Electron is a debit card product with which card accounts cannot normally be overdrawn; the entire balance must be available at the time of the transaction. The customer base here is often younger customers or customers with poor credit ratings. It is also possible to withdraw cash from ATMs via the Interbank Plus network.
