Visa
Credit card organization that licenses the issuance and acceptance of various credit and payment cards, enabling cashless payment transactions. Debiting from the card account can be done electronically, by paper slip using the embossed card number or by mail order.
Business model
VISA charges fees for the organizational processing of credit card transactions. The banks and other organizations that have issued VISA cards bear the risk of unpaid credit card debts. For new customers, checking account packages with VISA credit card are often offered as a bonus service (first year free, then fees apply), but there are also providers who offer such packages permanently.
