Timeout
Timeout: Interruption triggered by a program or device that has not received a signal within a certain period of time
PSD 2 Regulation
The timeout after five minutes of inactivity, is a requirement of the PSD 2 regulation for banks and payment service providers to increase security in online banking. Article 4 (3) (d) of DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) 2018/389 (RTS), ("The maximum period of inactivity after the payer has been authenticated for online access to his payment account shall not exceed five minutes."). If this period is exceeded, the customer is automatically logged out.
