Service-Provider
Provider that provides access to the Internet for a fee, e.g. an online service.
Tasks
A service provider has the task of transmitting and switching information and data. The transport level comprises the lines and transmission technology and their operation, the so-called right of way. The switching level (point of interconnection, POI) and the customer connection points (point of presence, POP) are further tasks of the service provider.
