Acquiring Processor
A computer service provider that processes credit card transactions and transfers charged amounts to the merchant account.
Contractor
Contracting companies are legally natural or legal persons who are to receive the amount of money transferred in a payment transaction as payment recipients. They accept payment cards as a means of payment - in addition to cash. For this purpose, the issuer of the payment card (card company and/or credit institution) must conclude a contract with the contracting company regulating the acceptance of payment cards.
Core processes of acquiring
The core processes of acquiring are network processing (at point of sale or ATM), transaction processing and the provision of the interface to the network service provider. The network effect of increasing the number of points of acceptance is improved by the acquirer, which means that payment cards can be used more frequently and thus the effect of cost degression can occur.
