E-Payment
The term e-payment refers to all systems and procedures for paying something by electronic means or on the Internet. For this service, website operators usually pay a certain percentage of the sales price or other billing models.
Internet based shopping
E-commerce payment system (electronic payment system) enable the acceptance of electronic payments for online transactions. It is a subcomponent of electronic data interchange (EDI). E-commerce payment systems have become increasingly popular due to the widespread use of Internet-based shopping and banking. Two categories can be distinguished here: Bank Payments and Mobile money wallets which are available without a bank account.
Online payment
Credit cards have a high value for online payment, but are expensive for the merchant due to high transaction fees. Debit cards offer similar security, but are generally much cheaper. Alternative payment methods have been developed alongside card-based payments and are becoming increasingly important in payment transactions (e.g. PayPal).
