Chargeback fee
A chargeback fee arises when the credit card holder declares a transaction to be inaccurate and requests a refund. If this is found to be valid, a chargeback fee will be incurred which is usually charged to the merchant.
The cost
Since the chargeback fees in global trade continue to rise and are now between 20 and 60 euros, it is advisable to use a security procedure such as 3D Secure. This puts the responsibility for the entire transaction processing on the issuer.
