E-Mail PIN | Risk Check Confirmation
|
The e-mail PIN check is the easiest way to check the existence of a customer.
The procedure has proven itself in the context of the so-called "double opt-in" for years.
By default, the customer receives a short e-mail with a four-digit code from our system.
This code must be entered in a form field on the website.
The e-mail PIN check only offers limited fraud protection if the user uses a freemail account that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the actual user. For this reason, all known freemailers can be blocked in our system. Due to the high distribution of freemailers, however, this blocking is not without risks.
