Payment methods
The success of an online store depends on the selection of different payment methods. If the customer's preferred payment method is not available, it is very likely that he or she will abandon the purchase. Therefore, the retailer should offer a wide range of payment methods to prevent this.
An overview
Credit card:

No other means of payment is as widespread in electronic payment transactions as card payment: whether you want to settle in euros in Germany, in yen in Japan or in dollars in America - with the credit card, everything is no problem.

Debit card

. With the debit card (English "debit" the account debit), unlike the credit card, the cardholder's account is debited immediately or within a few days.

Invoice

. Invoice purchase is the most widely used payment method for Internet shopping in Germany. Käufer schätzen that they do not have to pay until after receipt of the goods.

Direct debit

. Besides the credit card, direct debit is the most widespread payment method on the Internet in some countries in Europe. In Germany, more than half of all transactions on many websites are processed by direct debit.

. PayPal has more than 175 million customer accounts worldwide and is available in more than 190 countries.

PayByCall

. Value-added numbers have two characteristics: they are billed at an increased rate and can only be used within the country (domestic) in which they are authorized (e.g., 0900 numbers in Germany). . The paysafecard Group was founded in 2000 and is now present in 16 European countries. In Germany alone, there are more than 52,000 points of sale, including gas station chains, lottery retailers and drugstores.
